Frequent Asked Questions

The Core 4 program covers four modules over four months, one module per month. Each cohort runs from start to finish as a group. New cohorts begin four times per year. Modules can be paused between cohort intakes if your schedule requires it.

Approximately seven hours per month. This includes two live sessions of two hours each, one mandatory office hour of one hour, and approximately three hours per week of self-directed work and application. The self-directed component is flexible and can be completed around your schedule.

Both. Each module includes two live virtual sessions via Zoom and one live office hour. Between sessions, you work through recorded content and application exercises at your own pace through the Foundations First learning portal.

Public cohorts are limited to 15 participants. This keeps the group small enough for genuine peer interaction and direct access to Shelley during office hours.

A reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone for Zoom sessions, and access to the Foundation First learning portal via browser or mobile app. No special software is required.

Both. Foundation First is designed for finance and accounting professionals across public accounting firms, corporate finance departments, financial services, and any organization with a finance or accounting function. Examples and applications span both contexts.
